For AI agents — no guessing:
If you receive HTTP 402 with PAYMENT-REQUIRED:
1) Base64-decode PAYMENT-REQUIRED (JSON: x402Version, resource, accepts[]).
2) Pay listed USDC via Circle Gateway on the stated network (pilot: Base Sepolia eip155:84532).
3) Retry the same request with header PAYMENT-SIGNATURE.
Or send X-API-Key / Authorization: Bearer to skip payment.
