Threads Scout — Privacy Policy

This policy applies only to Threads Scout, an internal lab tool operated by AgentShare (agentshare.dev). It does not describe the AgentShare API, MCP marketplace, commerce shop, or Range Guard. Those services have a separate product Privacy Policy.

1. What Threads Scout is

Threads Scout is an operator-only tool used by the AgentShare founder. It is not a consumer app. Members of the public do not create accounts, do not log in, and are not offered OAuth.

A scheduled job (cron):

• Reads Meta’s Threads Keyword Search API for public posts.
• Sends public post text to Google Gemini to produce a classifier label.
• Sends the post permalink plus a draft comment to the operator’s Telegram.

The operator may then reply manually in the Threads app. Threads Scout does not publish posts, delete posts, reply through any API, or request OAuth from customers.

2. Data from public Threads posts only

We store metadata from public posts that matched a search keyword:

• media id
• permalink
• username
• public text
• timestamp
• keyword that matched
• classifier label

We do not collect passwords, private messages, or Threads login credentials. There is no customer account store.

3. Storage, sharing, and retention

• Operator server: seen media ids for about 30 days; search-query logs for about 7 days.
• Telegram: a copy of the permalink and draft comment goes to the operator only.
• Google Gemini: public post text may be sent solely to produce the classifier label.

We do not sell this data. We do not share it for advertising.

4. Purpose

The operator uses Threads Scout to find public posts about jobs and manual spreadsheet work, and may comment on those posts manually.

5. Children

Threads Scout is not directed at children. We do not knowingly store data about children.

You may request that we delete stored public-post metadata. See Threads Scout data deletion.
